Microprocessor is a computer processor resting on a microchip. Microprocessor is known as a heart of personal computer and nearly all computer units. Microprocessor is a small chip which is known as the heart of a computer. The fundamental characteristics used in microprocessor are instruction set, bandwidth and clock speed. In instruction set the set of information’s can implement through microprocessor. The number of bits can be processed in a single instruction through bandwidth.
The clock speed decides how many instructions per second the processor can perform. The microprocessor mainly implements a set of machine instructions and then it will tell the processor what to do. The microprocessor power is measured in bits and microprocessor speed is measured in hertz. The microprocessor does all the calculations like adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Based on the instruction a microprocessor will shift the data from one memory to a new place. Microprocessor will create a decisions and jump to a new set of instructions which supports on those decisions.
