india's mission to moon

India s mission to moon is not so far as ISRO has planned the launch of Chandrayaan I during the end of September or during the start of October. The word Chandrayaan is derived from Hindi meaning Moon Craft. The whole world is waiting for the launch of this most awaited spacecraft. It is based on kalpansat meteorological satellite and it not only involves the efforts of Indian scientists but also some valuable contributions from NASA and Russia .This spacecraft is going to be launched by the PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) which is one of the successful launch vehicles in India. This unmanned mission aims at orbiting the moon for two years and exploring the minerals available in the moon.
This mission is a turning point in Indian space research as it may bring out the answers to the questions such as whether the human life is possible in moon ,whether moon has got helium deposits which can be greatly used for power generation etc.So let us hope for the successful launch of this vehicle which is planned to be launched from Sathish Dawan Space Research Center at SriHarikottah.
